Engaging with the next generation of remediation engineers

Phil has spent a couple of mornings in the last month with MEng Civil Engineering students at Glasgow University, providing guest lectures and input to the course project for the Reclamation of Contaminated Land module.

The first session was a workshop to talk the students through the process of developing remediation decisions from site investigation data and to introduce the class project based on a hypothetical site.

The second session was a case study of remediation techniques drawn from ERS’ 20 years of experience, with the intention that the class would determine which techniques are suitable for their project.

Phil was very impressed by their enthusiasm and insightful questions. We’re always delighted to engage with and (hopefully) inspire the next generation of remediation engineers!
